The Purpose Driven Life

Image
Who ever trusts in his riches will fail, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf. - Proverbs 11vs 28 We were made for God, God was not made for us. Go back to your creator, find the purpose for which you were created. God is not just the starting point in our life, He is the source of it. You may choose your career, your spouse, your hobbies and many other parts of your life, but you don't get to choose your purpose. Without God, Life makes no sense. When you (begin your walk) are with God, it will leave many people confused and often very critical of your decision and actions; even fellow Christians may have an Opinion on how you should or shouldn't go about it. The thing is, it is between you and God. Nobody else will quite understand why you're doing what you do, because to everyone, his/her journey is uniquely tied up to their purpose on earth. Some discover it early and in an orderly manner, others stumble upon it right in the middle of a chao...

The Power of Prayer

Hello Good People, I have been away for too long (Life happened). I hope we are all putting in the work, and believing for great results :) This post is for those that need some kind of re-assurance or re-confirmation that God hears our prayers first of all and that He also answers them. Maybe some of you are like me, I tend to pray alot about the things going on in my life. It can be a decision I want to take or a need that I want met. For me, prayer is a direct line to God; you never get the busy tone, it's always free! I am convinced that our prayers are very powerful, the words we speak have power and when we tell them to a powerful God through the powerful name of his powerful son it definitely invokes and maninfests in/with power. Do you get the picture?  So when you do pray, be aware of the force that is being generated and the power that it carries. So incase you sometimes wonder if your prayers are enough, or if it's heard. I'm re-assuring you that it is. ...

Revived: A letter to my Baby

The past couple of weeks has been a hazy manoeuvre of tangled emotions; excitements with a dash of exhaustion, teary laughter and heartbreaking worry. I can say that I have felt the whole spectrum of emotions. You would think that by now I would be drained and ready to call it a day, Ha! I thought so too. With every passing day, I am awakened by a rush of Joy, its like ive been hit with a double-decker truck load of mental stability and a relentless desire to keep going. My body may be tired but Oh! my heart is just warming up and ready to go. With just one look into your eyes and i am revving, charging like a lion ready to roar.

Bring it on!

To say I have been faced with many challenges is an understatement.  Thank God we don't look like what we've been through, otherwise the things we have managed to conceal would be displayed on the frown lines and wrinkles on our face, a sad and dark aura that shows up when we walk into the room or just plain bad attitude or( fill in any negative word here). *Sigh*... that is how i begin this post, with a huge sigh... i'm not sure if it is of relief that most of us have come to the knowledge that some things may never change and we have accepted it or it is the thought of knowing what can possibly go wrong and we are not sure how to deal or handle it.

Alive and active campaign

Image
I am big on gratitude. I make a deliberate conscious effort to stay grateful to God. I thought about people like me who are swarmed with work load, chores, responsibilities etc,  that are living simple but honest lives. Those who seek the greater good, even those who do not yet know how to begin and are trying to find their footing.  This Campaign is my way of acknowledging God's mercy and grace. It is we saying "Thank you for loving us" despite all our wrong doing and lack of gratitude sometimes. This is a simple and fun way to express our gratitude, simply put up your photo with the hashtag #ALIVEANDACTIVE  And take a moment to tell God how grateful you are for the gift of Live and another day to try again. See mine after the jump :)
